A LITTLE CONTEXT

During university, I explored public administration, finance, and accounting, and I'm now focused on coding practice—full-stack development, machine learning, and agent development. I'm still exploring where my interests and strengths truly lie.

I've tried my hand at many hobbies along the way, but reading, drawing, and traveling remain my favorites—especially the joy and sense of accomplishment that comes from creating something.

  1. Graduate Student, Systems Analysis at National University of Singapore

    Jul 2025 – Present

Current focus has shifted from management to computer science, with coursework including but not limited to full-stack development, mobile application development, machine learning, agent development, and big data.

  2. Business Centre Intern at CITIC Securities, Hubei Branch

    Jan – Feb 2024

Developed foundational knowledge in finance, working under faculty guidance to interpret industry research reports and, as part of a team, produce briefings on regional listed companies alongside real-world investment strategies. Built a toolkit for returns analysis using Python and Excel VBA during this period.

  3. Bachelor of Management at Chongqing University

    Sep 2022 – Jun 2026

Undergraduate major in Public Administration, a field situated at the intersection of political science, management, and law. Thesis explored a novel approach to public administration theory through machine learning—drawing on a European cross-national social survey dataset of approximately 39,000 samples, identifying the optimal model to systematically predict the mechanisms influencing political efficacy.

A LITTLE HISTORY

I'm originally from Hubei, and grew up in a small town along the Yangtze River before college—home to what I'm convinced is the best breakfast in the world :)

My years studying in Chongqing were a bit of a whirlwind. I passed 7 papers of the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and took part in finance training programs and internships, but eventually realized it wasn't the career path I wanted. I gave public administration a try too, and didn't feel drawn to pursue it further either—so toward the end of university, I started planning to study abroad. Through an unexpected turn of events, I was admitted to the National University of Singapore, which is how I ended up pivoting into computer science.

Turns out coding is a lot more complex than I expected—and with AI advancing so fast these days, a lot of things are becoming easier, yet somehow more uncertain too. I still don't know exactly where I'll end up, but I'm grateful to have family and my girlfriend who've stuck by me through it all.
